Amali was designed by Mapos LLC, a green focused design firm lead by Caleb Mulvena. Caleb designed the Louis Vuitton stores in New York and Paris and the first LEED Platinum Certified retail space in New York.

Practically every design element in Amali was either reclaimed, repurposed or refinished.

Our tables, for example, are made from 150 year old pine stripped from our ceiling. Every other piece of wood was purchased from M Fine lumber - a company who salvages and resells wood from New York City buildings.

The remaining design elements, from the lighting fixtures (Chinatown), to the bar (Astoria) to the host stand and menu boards (Bushwick) are all made in New York.

Katonah Building Corp., Maneli Wilson Interiors and Malcolm Brown Phototography also collaborated on this project.
